The SNCF, «Worst company of the year»

In its January 2020 issue, the magazine «60 Million Consumers» lists the worst companies of the year based on customer complaints. The «Cactus d’or» is awarded to SNCF, the successor to the energy group Engie. And what exactly is the SNCF being criticised for? Essentially the reduction in the number of station ticket offices, which lengthens queues (up to more than two hours at Paris Montparnasse), trains that are not punctual. Another grievance against the public company, the new «Avantage» and «Liberté» loyalty cards which hide price increases on tickets. Quotidien du Tourisme

Air France: call for strike action from Monday by 6 flight crew unions

Travel agencies ex-Thomas Cook France: the 13th month of discord

The buyers of the French travel agencies of British giant Thomas Cook are facing an unprecedented slingshot. They have to regularise the payment of the 13th month’s payment of the travel agencies taken over and also deal with their own agencies’ challenges in the interests of fairness. At present, the buyers of the travel agencies (i.e. the Salaün Holidays group, Havas, Selectour, Sainte Claire and Karavel-Promovacances among others) are opposing this decision and have decided to appeal (the judgement will take place on 20 March), considering these «gifts» to be disproportionate and above all in contradiction with their own policy of motivating employees.
