All Saints’ Day holidays: departures abroad up 8 points

More than 1 in 5 French people will go on holiday on All Saints’ Day (22%). This result is partly boosted by November 1st, which falls on a Friday. While stays in France are still popular with holidaymakers (70%), they are down significantly (-8 points) in favour of stays abroad (29%, +8 points). Indeed, 1 in 5 holidaymakers will fly to a European destination (20%) when 9% travel to more distant countries: 6% in Africa and 3% in Asia. TourMag

France is not in the least bit of trouble for medical tourism….

What is the outcome of the first edition of the Salon des grands voyages?

The Salon des grands voyages, a public event dedicated to «beautiful and premium trips», was organised for the first time this year. And the niche seems to have potential since this edition brought together 68 exhibitors and received 3042 visits, lists Comexposium, the organizer. «The mostly positive feedback from exhibitors reinforces the relevance of the positioning of this event, which brought together an informed, passionate and travel-friendly public,» the press release details. Tourist Bloggers will have their salon in Mandelieu near Cannes in 2020

In 2020 the We Are Travel (WAT) exhibition and the Salon des Influenceurs du Web merge to create the Salon des Blogueurs touristiques by My Bloggers Company (a pioneering agency in France, in bringing influencers together) which will take place on 16 and 17 April 2020 at the Centre Expo Congrès de Mandelieu La Napoule near Cannes. This exhibition will be preceded by themed eductours, particularly on the Cannes destination, in order to promote the green, sports and leisure tourism offer. The Cannes region, including Mandelieu, is becoming a host country for many trade fairs around tourism. La Quotidienne

Thomas Cook’s failure: TUI increases its capacity by 2 million seats

The President of Thomas Cook France comes out of his silence
