{"id":23267,"date":"2020-03-15T15:58:43","date_gmt":"2020-03-15T14:58:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.webtenerife.com\/blogcorporativo\/?p=23267"},"modified":"2020-03-15T15:58:44","modified_gmt":"2020-03-15T14:58:44","slug":"150320-statement-from-the-tenerife-tourism-board","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.webtenerife.com\/blogcorporativo\/2020\/03\/150320-statement-from-the-tenerife-tourism-board\/","title":{"rendered":"150320 STATEMENT FROM THE TENERIFE TOURISM BOARD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Given the declaration of the State of Emergency decreed by the Spanish\nGovernment yesterday, which will last for 15 days, our advice from the Tenerife\nTourism Board is the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Before travelling to any of the island\u2019s airports, be it Tenerife North\nor Tenerife South, check with your airline, tour operator, consulate or on the website\nof your Foreign Office to ascertain the status of your flight and to ensure\nthat things are operating normally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; We remind everyone that public transport throughout the country is now\noperating with restricted measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; For those remaining on the island, you are only permitted to move\naround for the purpose of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Buying necessities such as food or medicine<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Travelling to health facilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Assistance and care of the elderly, minors, dependents, those with\ndisabilities or vulnerable people<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Travel to financial institutions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to a force majeure<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; The types of movement set out in the previous point, either on foot or\nusing a vehicle, must be carried out alone; with the exception of older\ncitizens, dependents or children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; All shops and businesses are closed to the public, with the exception\nof traders selling foodstuffs, basic necessities, pharmaceutical, medical,\noptical and orthopaedic products, hygiene products, hairdressers, newsagents\nand petrol stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>All museums, archives, libraries and monuments are now\nclosed to the public, as are premises where public performances are held as\nwell as areas of sports and leisure activities in enclosed or open spaces (this\nincludes beaches, parks, leisure areas, etc). <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; We at the Tenerife Tourism Board strongly emphasise the need to stay\nat home or in your accommodation, and to leave only in the cases expressly given.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Remember that the coronavirus freephone helpline set up by the\nCanarian Government\u2019s Health Department is 900 112 061.
