This summit is the first of its kind in North-\u00ad\u2010East Asia. It aims to encourage the adoption of new<br \/>\nstrategic approaches to the challenge posed by the growth of the tourism sector and its impact on<br \/>\nurban destinations. Topics will include innovative approaches to the competitiveness of urban<br \/>\ndestinations, the impact of technology on urban tourism, urban renewal and action to promote more<br \/>\ninclusive urban development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 Airline news:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>European pilots strike at Ryanair<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Friday 10 August, pilots based in five European countries decided to stop work, forcing the Irish<br \/>\nlow-\u00ad\u2010cost airline to cancel nearly 400 flights in the middle of the summer season. In total, more than<br \/>\n55,000 passengers will be affected, including 42,000 for Germany, according to the company which<br \/>\npromised the injured passengers \u00aba free change of reservation\u00bb. 85% of their flights will be operated<br \/>\nby Ryanair. \u00abMore than 2,000 flights will operate normally, carrying nearly 400,000 passengers across<br \/>\nEurope,\u00bb the Irish airline said Thursday evening on Twitter.
