The top 10 favourite destinations for French summer holidays

«In summer, the beach remains the sure bet, as shown by this Top 10 where 6 destinations are counted with their feet in the water,» TripAdvisor analyses. 56.3% of French people say they go on summer holidays by the sea. 20.3% will opt for a city break, and 12.2% for «green» destinations. What are their selection criteria? For 21% of them, it is the interest to discover a destination through culture, visits, monuments. Airbnb Adventures: after hotels, a competitor of tour operators?

After opening up to activity reservations in 2016 via its Experiences offer, Airbnb is continuing to consolidate its tourism offer. The platform now offers a collection of tours and trips lasting between 2 and 10 days. Called Airbnb Adventures, this offer is developed in collaboration with local experts and tour operators. Unlike experiences that generally take place in urban areas, the Adventures offer includes a series of expeditions in natural or wild environments. IFTM Top Resa: the village of influencers back with 41 guests

Last year, during the first Village des Influenceurs, 32 bloggers met nearly 800 professionals at one-to-one meetings. IFTM Top Resa and the digital communication agency Travel Insight are continuing their partnership with 41 influencers this year, representing together nearly 12 million subscribers to their networks. Victories in Tourism 2019: And the winners are…

On Thursday 13 June, some 300 guests attended the fifth evening of the Victoires du Tourisme, organised once again by the Quotidien du Tourisme at the Intercontinental Paris Le Grand. The participants, thanks to the presence of Caroline Malausséna, Director of Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, and Rachid Temal, Senator of Val d’Oise, President of the Amicale des parlementaires du tourisme and well known to the profession, noted that the tourism sector was indeed a priority for the public authorities.

Ryanair buys Malta Air and attacks the North African market

After Lauda in Austria last January and Buzz in Poland next autumn, Malta Air will be the new subsidiary of Ryanair. The investment is expected to be completed by the end of the month. This investment in Malta Air will allow Ryanair to strengthen its presence in Malta (3 million customers per year), and to access markets outside the European Union (North Africa) from the archipelago. Fosun wants to take over Thomas Cook

According to Sky News, the Chinese group Fosun, also the main shareholder of Club Med, is preparing a bid to buy Thomas Cook. The Chinese group is also Thomas Cook’s largest shareholder (18%).
