Turkish hoteliers are forced to reduce prices at the beginning of the season

Alanya hoteliers are forced to reduce the prices for accommodation at the beginning of 2019 season despite the optimistic forecasts for the tourist flow this year.

At the beginning of the year Turkish hoteliers announced an increase in prices for hotels by 15%, while the cost of accommodation for individual objects increased by 50%. This jump led to increase of early booking rate, but the demand began to slow down closer to the beginning of the season.

Now hotels are still recuperating from the failures of 2016 and 2017 years. However low prices may have a negative effect on the tourism industry in the long term.
