Spanish hoteliers requested authorities to abolish the tourist tax
Russian media published the news about the cancelation of the tourist tax requested by the hoteliers of the Spanish islands of Mallorca and Ibiza, who appealed to the authorities to abolish the tourist tax in the amount of four euros due to the fall in the number of guests from the UK – the main market for these areas. Three hotel associations of the Balearic Islands asked for the immediate abolition of the tourist tax, which was introduced in 2016 and doubled in 2018.
S7 Airlines will resume direct flights to Vienna in the Spring
From April 30 S7 Airlines will resume direct regular flights on the route Moscow – Vienna. It is noted that the flights will be operated three times a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The flight program was planned in such a way to make it possible to get to Vienna not only from the capital, but also from other cities of Russia, with minimal connections at the Domodedovo airport.

Tourism market representatives evaluated the prospects of adding a direct flight to Bali
The airline Garuda Indonesia is launching a direct flight from Moscow to Bali (Denpasar) as was announced by the Ambassador of the country Vahid Supriyadi on February 12. “Tourism market doubts that these plans will be realized as now it is the end of the season, and summer is a low season for Russian tourists. Also, a long-range aircraft is needed to carry out a direct flight to Bali” – commented General Director of Space Travel Arthur Muradyan.
Nowadays direct flights to Bali from Russia are provided only by Aeroflot three times a week. But, according to experts, the demand has not met the expectations and it is forced to restrain prices to fill the flights.
Aeroflot canceled about 80 flights due to weather conditions on February 13
The airline canceled 76 flights and 24 flights will take off later than scheduled. According to the Sheremetyevo Airport online flight-board, other airlines operated on February 13 without changes.
Recall that on January 26-27, Aeroflot announced the cancellation of 131 flights and 151 transits. Other airlines did not have major schedule changes. According to experts, it is not for the first time that Aeroflot has a massive flight delay. According to some media, that the airline may abuse the weather conditions to cancel low-loaded flights and to combine several flights into one.
