Morocco signs its return to the French market

The winter of 2018/2019 should confirm Morocco’s return. With this upturn, tour operators have made it one of their key destinations of the season, and are strengthening their clubs and circuits, while confirming the pre-eminence of Marrakech and Agadir. Death of Jean-Paul Chantraine

Jean-Paul Chantraine, CEO and founder of Asia, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, following a heart attack. Tatiana Martinez new director of the Spanish Tourist Office in Paris

Tatiana Martinez took over the management of the Spanish Tourist Office in Paris on 3 September last to replace Elena Valdés del Fresno, who was transferred to Madrid on 31 August last.

Since 2014, she has been in charge of the Sub-Directorate General for Sustainable Tourism Development at the Secretariat of State and has been an advisor to the Board of Directors of AENA (Spanish Airport Manager). Tourmag

Air Astana: +10% passenger traffic in the first half of 2017

During the first half of 2018, Air Astana posted a 17% increase in revenue and passenger traffic, driven by international flights. This growth is due to the good performance of international passenger traffic, up 22%, explains a press release from the company. International traffic in the first half of 2018 increased by 75% to 320,000 passengers. Tourmag

Easyjet confirms the opening of a base in Nantes

Easyjet confirms in a press release published on 4 September 2018, the opening of a base in Nantes in spring 2019. It will be the company’s 7th French base. 3 A320 aircraft will be stationed there. The airline is targeting more than 1.8 million passengers in 2019, or 25% of the airport’s annual traffic. An additional 400,000 passengers are expected in 2019. Tourmag

New logo, trip of the year; new destinations…Nationaltours makes a great comeback

Nationaltours is taking the opportunity of the release of its autumn-winter 2018 /2019 catalogue to unveil its new identity. With this new identity, the 276-page catalogue presents more than 200 programmes, including several new ones such as Vietnam, Norway, Algeria, Guadeloupe, the United States and Egypt, which is making its comeback in the Nationaltours programme with a 15-day tour in 5* hotels. FRAM wants to boost its Framissima clubs.

The new 16-page dediacted brochure focuses on its 9 new addresses classified as 4 and 5 coconut palms (like stars) for this winter. The Framissima Hive Khaolak Beach Resort represents the brand in Thailand, in Morocco the Royal Tafoukt Agadir and two new Framissima in the Canaries in Tenerife: have opened. The Be Live Collection Canoa in La Romana opens in the Dominican Republic alongside the Grand Memories Punta Cana which has been renovated. To organize their reunion, lovers must enter their two local airports on Kayak.fr/reunion and the tool will search among more than 200 popular destinations to find up to 20 affordable meeting points. Users can filter by price to find a destination that fits their budget, and can easily share results with their partner via Facebook, either on Messenger or directly in their news feed.
