Russians won’t be able to take the «last minute» tours to Turkey this fall

Tour operators will not offer «last minute tours» to Turkey for the autumn season, and tours in general may go up by 10% compared to the same period last year, Interfax was informed by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) with reference to tour operators’ data. The association noted that special offers from hotels could be expected only if the depreciation of the lira would take place and they were underloaded by domestic tourists.

Nordwind’s flights to Jamaica and Zanzibar to become partially regular  

«We are opening regular flights to Jamaica and Tanzania (Zanzibar) from the winter schedule (valid from the end of October). These are all exclusive destinations. We have already opened the sale, » the commercial director of the Nordwind Imran Nazarov announced on Wednesday. The company began to develop a regular segment in 2015, before doing only charters, today half of all flights are regular, the top manager noted.

Aeroflot to increase the number of scheduled flights to the Maldives  

Rosaviation approved the increase in flights on the Moscow-Male-Moscow route by Aeroflot. Aeroflot agreed to increase the frequency of flights from 5 times a week to daily flights. Flights will appear in the winter schedule of the airline from the end of October and will be carried out on the Airbus A330-300.

Prices for foreign flights went up by 5-7%

The average cost of international flight tickets from Russia increased by 5-7%, due to currency fluctuations on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday. As there was mentioned by the Moscow stock exchange, over the past week, the dollar to ruble rate had grown by about 5%, the euro to ruble rate had increased by almost 6%. The euro to ruble rate, set by the CBR on Tuesday, was 77.6519 rubles, the dollar exchange rate – 68.2234 rubles. According to the calculations of tourist services OneTwoTrip and, tickets for international flights, starting from Wednesday, could rise in price by 5-7%.

Five million tourists have visited Morocco since January

During the first half of 2018 approximately 5.1 million tourists visited Morocco. This is 10% more than last year. Mainly European markets are growing – thus, the number of arrivals from Italy grew by 18%; Germany – by 13%; France – by 10%; Holland – by 8%; Great Britain – by 7%; and Spain by 6%. The total occupancy of Morocco hotels was 44%.
